Juru bicara Polda Papua, Kombes Pol Sulistyo Pudjo Hartono menuturkan pihaknya juga telah memeriksa tiga orang dari warga setempat, sebagai saksi atas penangkapan dua jurnalis tersebut.

KontraS : 132 Papuans were shot dead by police

JAKARTA - From the data owned by the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence ( Statemen KontraS ) , as many as 191 people were killed in a shooting incident in 2011 and 2013 .
 Coordinator KontraS , Haris Azhar said , as many as 132 death toll of which is done by the military or police in West Papua .
 " Until now the perpetrators of the shooting is not known to undergo the legal process . There is no accountability and transparency of information from the police and a large number of military -related shootings carried out by its members , " said Harris in a press statement received by journalists on Thursday ( 15/8 / 2013) .
 In addition to involving the police and military , shooting is also done by unknown person ( OTK ) . " Five of the victims were shot dead and 54 shot OTK military , " said Haris .
 KontraS also reported that there were 534 others were injured as a result of the shooting incident in the same period . A total of 428 injuries done by police officers , 35 military casualties performed , and 71 other victims by an unknown person .
 " Virtually none of the perpetrators were classified as unknown assailants shooting was captured by the military and police forces , " he concluded .
